As we observe Breastfeeding Month, we want to take a moment to acknowledge the incredible role breastfeeding mothers play in nurturing their baby through breastfeeding. “Hey Mom, In addition to the physical nourishment you provide, it’s important to recognize that emotional and psychological well-being also plays a significant role in this intimate process. Your emotions and stress levels can, to some extent, be passed through your breast milk. Thus, it is beneficial to be mindful of your emotional state while breastfeeding. When you are feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or stressed, consider taking a moment to pause, breathe, and find a sense of calm before you begin feeding your baby. It is a precious experience that deserves recognition and appreciation. Not every mother has the chance to breastfeed, even if she wishes to, and not every child can experience that special bond due to various challenges. Regardless of your personal journey, please know that your efforts and commitment are deeply commendable. We extend our heartfelt appreciation to working mothers who diligently pump at their workplaces, as well as to stay-at-home mothers who manage around-the-clock responsibilities while exclusively breastfeeding, even with a baby who refuses a bottle. We also commend those who generously donate their excess milk to infants in need. To mothers who began breastfeeding but had to stop due to pain, or those who transitioned to formula, your bond with your baby remains invaluable. As we observe Breastfeeding Month, take this opportunity to reflect on and appreciate your journey.
